My work comes from my research on the surroundings in which I live and those which I encounter. In them, I try to see what is not visible. It is a continuous exploration that emerges in the midst of a dialogue between the places and what I find in them, that is then translated into an abstract, contemporary and, at once, pastoral format.

Through that dialogue, I express my concern for the development and cohabitation of all human things with natural and urban spaces. It is not only about making evident the domestication of the surroundings, but also about how they signify themselves through their relationships with elements natural, built, or human-intervened. There are few contemporaneous landscapes that exist in the world, that are not directly influenced or marred by human construction. And that fact fascinates me – and is the subject of much of my research and, ultimately, work.
